The Severn Valley Railway
Severn Valley Railway
The Severn Valley Railway is a sixteen mile long line that runs from Bridgenorth to Kidderminster through the
GWR 45XX No.4566 at Kiddermintser station
beautiful rural countryside of Shropshire.
Intermediate stops along the line include Hampton Loade, Country Park Halt, Highley, Arley and Bewdley.
At Kidderminster there is a small museum and the Coal Yard miniature railway.
At Highley is the newly built Engine House, which houses some of the SVRs loco fleet which are out of service. There is also a café over looking the line into Highley.
If you have not been to the SVR, I highly recommend you do, for a brilliant day with trains!
