Paddle Steamer ‘Waverley’
Paddle Steamer Waverley
Although I’ve put this under places of interest, the PS Waverley doesn’t sail from the same place every time!
So the Places you do visit on the Waverley will be different depending on where you board.
But the main reason why I put Waverley on here was because part of the place you visit on board will the be the Waverley herself.
The beautifully restored Clyde Paddle Steamer is the last surviving Clyde Steamer and is the only Ocean going Steamer in the World.
It gives you a real sense of what it was like to travel back in the early 20th Century.
You can visit the Engine Room, which can be viewed from Gangways either side of the Engine, and Watch the Paddles go round out of the Porthole.
Waverley has 2 Principle decks, the Promenade Deck and the Main Deck.
On the Promenade deck There is Seating at the Bow & Stern, plus other seating along both sides. Also on the Promenade Deck is the Forward Observation Lounge and the Tearoom (Aft).
On the main Deck is the Engine Room, Souvenir Shop, Restaurant (Aft) & Lounge Bar (Forward).
