‘Moorbarrow’ arrives at the East Somerset Railway

Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn 0-6-0ST No.47 ‘Moorbarrow’ has arrived at the East Somerset Railway.

From the Linconshire Wolds Railway the locomotive is fresh out of overhaul, it’s not yet been in service a year!

As Huddswell Clarke No.70 ‘Phoenix’ has now returned to the Swindon and Cricklade Railway, the ESR needed another locomotive, as 56XX No.5637 is not yet back in service!

Built in 1955 for hauling NCB (NationalCoal Board) Trains.

Finished off in Dark Blue, she looks very smart!

As far as I know she will be at the ESR for all of 2010, but don’t take my word for it, as she may go back when No.5637 is back.
